Military Families

We examine the individual, couple, and family well-being of families who are military connected, and how couples relationship education can support these families.

Families who are military-connected (i.e., active duty, Guard/Reserve, and Veterans) have many strengths, but also report challenges such as frequent transitions and moves, deployments, and managing mental health challenges that stem from combat and other military experiences.

We examine the associations between relationship skills and quality, relationship and parenting behaviors, family dynamics, and individual well-being within the military context.
